September 04, 2018

I-74 crossing in Quad CitiesHR Green was selected to accompany the Amec Foster Wheeler Team for the I-74 Expanded Central Section Construction Management project led by the Iowa DOT along with partnering agency Illinois DOT.  This large project includes the improvement of the I-74 corridor in the Quad Cities from south of Avenue of the Cities in Moline, Illinois to the north of 53rd Street in Davenport, Iowa. The project comprises new dual basket-handle arch structures across the Mississippi River, mainline pavement reconstruction, and new interchanges in Bettendorf, Iowa, and Moline, Illinois. HR Green provided Construction Management services which included quality assurance to monitor consistency and manage cost, scope, and schedule across the corridor relating to traffic, environmental, utility, and railroad coordination. The construction consisted of multiple contracts across multiple jurisdictions and required on-site daily monitoring, coordination, and documentation.
