David R. Dougherty, PE, is a Senior Advisor at HR Green.

Since joining HR Green in 2003, David has provided solid leadership in solving complex community and transportation challenges, providing exemplary client service, and successfully delivering multi-discipline projects.

The ethical practice of professional engineering, serving the public, and advocating for the practice of engineering has always been important to David. He has successfully integrated transportation, land use, and economic development to build and support thriving communities.

David earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University. He is active in the Iowa Engineering Society, National Society of Professional Engineers, American Public Works Association, American Road and Transportation Builders Association, and is a board member of the American Council of Engineering Companies-Iowa.
