HR Green completed a traffic operations and safety review as part of the NW Beaver Drive Reconstruction Project. This project reconstructed the existing two-lane rural section and upgraded it to a three-lane urban section with one thru-lane in each direction and a center two-way left-turn lane. Additionally, the approaches at the NW Johnston Drive, NW 55th Avenue, NW 57th Avenue, and NW 59th Avenue intersections were reconstructed and widened. The project included drainage improvements; public utility improvements, relocations and adjustments within the corridor; adding a sidewalk along the west side of the corridor; LED street lighting, and upgrading or replacing the traffic signals at the NW Beaver Drive/NW Johnston Drive intersection.
