Northbrook Walgreens Site Design

HR Green was selected to provide surveying, engineering, and landscape architecture services for the Northbrook Walgreens located in the heart of Northbrook amidst other moderate-sized commercial parcels and existing homes.

HR Green prepared preliminary/final landscape plans as well as presentation graphics and 3D model illustrations to assist the client at board meetings throughout the entitlement and approval process. Coordination with adjacent residents was vital to the success and ultimate approval of the Northbrook Walgreens. Intense screening using both plant material and decorative fencing was implemented to effectively block neighboring residents’ views of the loading docks and pharmacy drive-thru lanes. HR Green placed great consideration on view corridors and safety, designing a plan that addressed vehicular sight distances at entrances, product visibility at the main intersection adjoining the site, and land use incompatibility issues.
