Emilio Miniscalco is a Building + Code Manager for HR Green’s Municipal Services practice.
Emilio is a Licensed Architect and Certified Building Official with 30+ years of experience in commercial, mixed-use, residential, retail, municipal, and medical facilities projects. He has coordinated the architectural design guidelines and review of subdivisions, commercial, retail, public facility, and recreational structure projects as well as designing shopping centers, mixed-use, subdivisions, aquatics centers, and recreation buildings.
Over the past three years he has managed the daily plan check and inspection activities of HR Green staff at the Village of Oak Park using CityView. Emil has been instrumental in providing counsel on code interpretation and intent both at the counter, at code training workshops/seminars to Village staff and applicants and participates at weekly Departmental meetings to maintain a high level of customer service and responsiveness.
His experience includes strategic planning, architectural design, building structural systems, means and methods of construction, environmental systems design, site planning, construction administration, and project management. Emil also has expertise in historical restoration projects. He is a past recipient of AIA Merit Awards.
