Tammy Hefner is an Area Manager for Missouri Construction.

Tammy brings more than two decades of progressive experience in transportation operations, maintenance management, and construction oversight within a statewide transportation system. She has led multidisciplinary teams across maintenance, traffic, general services, engineering, and IT, while managing district‑wide budgets, resource allocation, and long‑range operational planning. Her background includes administering complex construction contracts, supervising field offices, coordinating emergency response operations, and ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety requirements.

In this role, Tammy leads the delivery of HR Green’s construction engineering and inspection services across a multi‑county region in Southeast Missouri. She oversees high‑profile infrastructure projects from preconstruction through completion, guiding teams in contract administration, construction management, and field inspection so that each project meets client expectations. By driving constructability reviews, safety planning, and continuous quality assurance, Tammy helps clients achieve efficient, cost‑effective, and thoroughly documented project outcomes that exemplify HR Green’s commitment to exceptional service.

Tammy earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology from Murray State University and a B.S. in Engineering from Arkansas State University. She is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE). She is a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE) and the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).
