Sean Murphy, PE, is a Project Manager for Illinois Municipal Services.
Sean’s capabilities emerge from diverse experiences as a Municipal Civil Designer and Design/Build Private Contractor. Since 2005, he has focused on the public site development field, gaining extensive insight and experience in the unique requirements of municipal facility design, permitting, and implementation. His dual background in engineering and construction gives him an intimate understanding of the relationships between public and private project stakeholders. The broad base of experience and knowledge he brings to each new challenge is represented by a few of his recent projects, including: infrastructure design within railroad rights-of-way, water and wastewater treatment plant design, existing municipal asset valuation, multi-phase engineer’s opinions of cost, private development punch list and closeout, and project-specific public meetings and forums.
Sean holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and a B.S. in Marketing from Northern Illinois University. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
