Matt Sokolowski is a Lead Engineer for the Illinois Water and Wastewater Practice.

Matt has nearly 15 years of experience delivering a diverse portfolio of water, wastewater, and environmental projects for municipal clients. He has worked on facilities ranging from 5 MGD to more than 300 MGD, contributing to all project phases—from master planning and detailed design to construction services and process startup. His technical expertise includes hydraulic modeling, UV disinfection design and construction, aeration system design, facility master planning, condition assessments, and data driven decision-making.

In this role, Matt helps deliver water and wastewater projects in northern Illinois and beyond, providing value to our clients through diverse project experience, strong technical knowledge, and innovative thinking.

Matt earned a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a M.S. in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from Arizona State University. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois, Wisconsin, and New York. He is a member of the American Water Works Association – Illinois Section, the Water Environment Federation, the Central States Water Environment Association, and the Illinois Water Environment Association.
