David Greaney, PE, CFM, is a Project Manager for HR Green’s Transportation Business Unit in Texas.
David Greaney brings more than 15 years of experience in complex roadway and drainage design, with extensive work on roadways, storm drainage, water and sanitary sewer improvements, sidewalks, and traffic control plans in some of the City of Houston’s most urbanized areas. He has a strong background in pedestrian and bicycle facility improvements and roundabout design, along with a deep understanding of complete streets and how to accommodate multiple modes of transportation within constrained rights-of-way. He also brings experience securing grant funding through FHWA-TIP, EDA, CDBG, and CDBG-DR programs.
His technical expertise includes roadway and drainage design, storm sewer and ditch improvements, water and sanitary sewer systems, sidewalks, shared-use paths, bicycle facilities, traffic control plans, roundabouts, floodplain mitigation, detention pond design, and stakeholder coordination. David also offers valuable experience working with agencies such as the City of Houston, Harris County Flood Control District, TIRZ 17, the Westchase District, TxDOT, City of Cedar Park, Williamson County, Hays County, and HCTRA.
David Greaney holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas and a Certified Floodplain Manager, and holds TxDOT pre-certifications in Route Studies/Schematics, Roadway Design, Signing, Pavement Marking and Channelization, and Hydrologic Studies.
