Clayton McCormack, PE, is a Senior Project Manager in the Water and Wastewater Practice for HR Green.
Clayton brings more than 28 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities and systems. His expertise spans the full project lifecycle from planning and design through construction and startup and includes leadership on more than 40 water and wastewater projects. His portfolio features membrane bioreactors (MBR), biological nutrient removal (BNR) systems, biosolids management, reclaimed water systems, and storage, pumping, and distribution infrastructure.
Over the past decade, Clayton has focused extensively on Florida’s east coast and the Indian River Lagoon, developing a strong understanding of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) regulations and the unique infrastructure challenges facing Space Coast communities.
His technical capabilities include water and wastewater treatment plant design and rehabilitation, reclaimed water treatment and distribution, biosolids management, process design, mechanical systems, effluent discharge, utility planning, capital project delivery, and coordination with FDEP and other regional regulatory agencies.
Clayton McCormack holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Illinois Wesleyan University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, and is an active member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the Water Environment Federation (WEF).
