Blake Ahlers, PE, is a Lead Engineer for HR Green’s Transportation business unit.
Blake has acquired 13 years of experience in the development of roadway infrastructure. His technical proficiencies encompass the design of roadway drainage systems, geometric layout, traffic control and staging, erosion control, traffic signal systems, roadway lighting, and pavement marking layouts. His project portfolio includes work on interstates, highways, local roads, and intersections.
Blake is highly skilled in MicroStation OpenRoads Designer, utilizing the MicroStation platform for the production of detailed engineering plans. His core responsibilities include the design of storm sewer systems for both preliminary and final plan sets, development of horizontal and vertical alignments for roadways, hydraulic design of culverts and roadside ditches, implementation of sediment control best management practices, and performing QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with design standards and project specifications.
