HR Green has been chosen by the Village of Frankfort, Illinois to develop design documents for the upgrading and expansion of their 4.35 MGD regional wastewater treatment plant.
HR Green Inc. has been chosen by the City of Ladue, MO for a stormwater needs assessment study — the first phase of a three-phase storm water program.
The triple bottom line is a framework that considers social, environmental, and economic effects together – it is used to measure the “sustainability” of an action. Wastewater treatment has an impact on all three components of the triple bottom line. Wastewater treatment has led to tremendous improvements to society as a whole by minimizing diseases and improving quality of life; it has also led to far cleaner bodies of water from small streams to oceans. Though human health and the environment have benefitted from the emergence of wastewater treatment as a standard protocol for waste disposal, the benefits have come with a high economic burden to the budgets of municipalities and industries.
The Iowa chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC-IA) has recognized HR Green, Inc. and its client, the City of Walker, Iowa with an Engineering Excellence Award.
The City of Chisholm, MN and HR Green are recognized with an MPCA Annual Operations Excellence Award
HR Green has been notified by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) that for the second consecutive year the City of Chisholm, MN is being recognized with an MPCA Annual Operations Excellence Award for the operation of their wastewater treatment facility which HR Green contract operates. The award is given to facilities that exceed all NPDES Permit, reporting, operation and maintenance requirements.
HR Green announced that its Board of Directors has named Steven R. Heyer, PE, LEED AP to serve as the company’s Chief Executive Officer on an interim basis.
