Collection System Improvements

In the spring of 2015, portions of the City of Liberty flooded, revealing extensive problems with infiltration and inflow in the City’s collection system. The City had struggled to address needs and develop plans for the maintenance of their sanitary sewer collection system, and they sought a cost-effective way to identify problem locations and help in planning future operations and maintenance work.

While an updated GIS for the City’s sanitary system was not the primary deliverable, the asset inventory GIS is a significant value-added resource that Indianola can use to aid in operations and prioritizing system improvements going forward.

HR Green Wins ACEC-IA Award for Fort Madison, Iowa Dry Creek Stream project

HR Green is pleased to announce it has received an ACEC-IA 2016 Engineering Excellence Award for its Dry Creek Stream Improvements project in Fort Madison, Iowa. Dry Creek is a tributary to the Mississippi River located in the eastern part of Lee County, Iowa.
