Chase Lodge Corporation, in conjunction with Kebbell Homes, retained HR Green to design a new urbanist residential community in La Marque, Texas near Galveston. Borondo Pines was conceived as an alternative to Galveston destinations, providing a more affordable, upscale housing product with large front porches, detached garages, and quaint front yards.
The neighborhood layout consisted of 82 lots and was designed to promote social interaction and walkability. A neighborhood park is the central meeting space within the community and provides residents with a place for kids to play and a shaded park pavilion. HR Green performed the planning and layout work for Borondo Pines, as well as the platting and profiling for the streets and sewer system.
