HR Green worked with the Village of Antioch’s Planning and Zoning Department to design and construct numerous landscape and hardscape improvements within the downtown TIF District. Improvements were prioritized according to visual impact within the downtown Antioch area and consisted of improvements to the main streetscapes, high-visibility corners, mid-block alleyways, and downtown approach zones.
Hardscape and landscape improvements consisted of street tree recommendations, a banner & hanging basket program on downtown street lights, approach signage, wayfinding signage, special pavement installation on walkways, lighting improvements, landscape islands, and architectural enhancements. The design team was responsible for prioritizing the proposed improvements based on impact, conceptual design, design development, and bidding.
