HR Green is pleased to announce that Parker Just has joined the firm’s Cedar Rapids office as a Project Manager for Iowa Water Resources.
Parker will leverage his experience to help HR Green develop high quality deliverables that meet the water resource needs of our clients.
With 10 years of engineering experience, Parker specializes in stormwater modeling and nature-based design solutions. He has comprehensive experience in the development of hydrologic and hydraulic computer models for storm sewer, wetland, stream, and detention design. Parker promotes nature-based stormwater management and advocates for incorporating water quality features into traditional quantity-focused projects. His designs for park developments across several communities include innovative solutions such as fishable ponds, bioretention, rain gardens, and active stormwater play features.

Parker holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a M.S. in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Iowa. He is a Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM), and Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP). He is a member of the Iowa Floodplain and Stormwater Management Association (IFSMA) and the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM).
