HR Green is pleased to announce that Greg Hannestad has joined the firm as a Senior Structural Engineer for the Water and Wastewater Practice.
Greg brings more than 35 years of civil and structural engineering experience, with a career spanning residential, retail, office, industrial, institutional, and municipal projects. He has provided structural design for bridges, parking ramps, pedestrian skywalks, and buildings of all types. His background also includes extensive field inspections, forensic investigations, and building assessments for medical facilities, schools and universities, and other critical infrastructure. As a former branch manager and then Founder and President of his own firm, Greg combines technical expertise with seasoned leadership and practical problem‑solving.
As a Senior Structural Engineer, Greg will support HR Green’s mission of providing our clients with high quality water and wastewater facilities and structures by creating designs that are robust, durable, and constructable.

Greg earned an A.A. in Pre‑Engineering from Trinity Western University, and a B.S. in Construction Engineering and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and is a member of American Concrete Institute, Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute, American Institute of Steel Construction, American Society of Civil Engineers, Structural Engineering Institute, and International Code Council.
