HR Green is pleased to announce that Gabe Nelson has joined the firm as a Senior Project Manager for Iowa Transportation.

Gabe has more than 26 years of experience delivering complex transportation, geotechnical, and municipal infrastructure programs. His technical expertise spans Iowa DOT projects, municipal engineering, utility coordination, digital delivery, and construction technology. Throughout his career, he has led multidisciplinary projects and public infrastructure initiatives from pursuit and planning through design, construction, and successful delivery, while overseeing engineering operations, project execution, technical quality, and financial performance.

In this role, Gabe will lead the delivery of complex transportation projects throughout the Des Moines area, partnering with the Iowa DOT and metro communities to develop innovative, practical solutions that improve mobility and strengthen the region’s infrastructure.

Gabe earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE). He is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
