Nathan Brandt is a Lead Engineer for the Iowa Water and Wastewater Practice.

Nathan has more than 20 years of experience designing and analyzing complex electrical systems across industrial, commercial, civic, and educational sectors. His technical expertise includes building power systems, medium voltage distribution, microgrids, SKM based engineering studies, arc flash analysis, and emergency power systems. His background includes hands on development of electrical construction documents, advanced system analysis, construction administration, and the delivery of practical, effective solutions for building power and utility applications.

In this role, Nathan will work directly with clients in Iowa to provide practical, reliable electrical engineering support for water and wastewater projects. He will contribute to the planning and design of treatment, pumping, and conveyance systems while ensuring solutions meet regulatory requirements, operational needs, and project objectives. Nathan will also collaborate with project teams to deliver clear, well coordinated, and constructible electrical designs.

Nathan earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from South Dakota State University and a M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Arkansas. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE). He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) and is chairman of the Electrical Board of Appeals and Examiners in Sioux Falls, SD.
