HR Green is pleased to announce that Austin Appleton, PE, ENV SP, CFM, has joined the firm as Area Manager for Texas Construction.
Austin brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in civil and military engineering. Throughout his career, he has managed over 200 construction projects valued at more than $600 million and overseen the design of over $2 billion in infrastructure. He has served in senior roles with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Army, contributed to major flood risk reduction systems, and earned multiple commendations for service and leadership.
In this role, Austin will lead the delivery of HR Green’s construction engineering and inspection services across a multi-county region. He will oversee high-profile infrastructure projects from preconstruction through completion, guiding teams in contract administration, construction management, and inspection to deliver projects that meet client goals. Through constructability reviews, safety planning, and ongoing quality assurance, he will help clients achieve efficient, cost-effective, and well-documented project outcomes that reflect HR Green’s commitment to exceptional service.

Austin earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from United States Military Academy and a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Florida State University. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP), and a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM). Austin is also a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, the Army Engineer Association, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
