Challenge
As part of the Del Webb Sagebriar residential development, Pulte Group sought to create a signature entry monument that would provide a strong first impression for the community while aligning with Del Webb brand standards.
Solution
The HR Green landscape architecture team developed a monumentation plan that maximized visual impact through thoughtful landform and signage design. The design incorporated signature stone veneer materials, cap and coping elements, and reverse pan channel illuminated lettering consistent with Del Webb standards.
In addition, signature fencing with terminal columns was introduced along the western perimeter of the community, creating a unified edge condition and reinforcing the boundary and entry sequence. Materials and fabrication methods were coordinated through local suppliers and vetted against regional best practices to balance aesthetics with constructability and long-term maintenance. Elevation drawings, preliminary design plans, and detailed construction documents were prepared.
While the client is based locally, they placed full confidence in our out-of-state team to design and document the monumentation design package. With planting design excluded from the scope, the responsibility to make the entrance impactful relied heavily on the signage, monumentation, and landform strategy.
Benefit
The completed monumentation establishes a strong, lasting first impression for the Sagebriar community. The elevated signage and integrated landforms frame the entrance with a crisp, memorable aesthetic that reflects the Del Webb brand and welcomes future residents. By trusting our team’s design and execution, the client achieved an impactful entry feature that strengthens market appeal, enhances wayfinding, and sets the tone for the entire community experience.
