Dawn Horner is the WEF Arthur Sidney Bedell Award Winner
Dawn Horner has received the WEF Arthur Sidney Bedell Award. Horner was recognized for her commitment to the SDWEA which has included serving as the vice president and president for the last 4 years.
Horner is the Operation Director for HR Green’s Sioux Falls, SD office. Her experience includes design of water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, wastewater lift stations, water mains, storm and sanitary sewer mains. She has managed the successful delivery of numerous preliminary engineering reports, design memorandums, contract documents, plans, specifications, permitting processes, bid lettings and construction administration services. With her technical acumen and skills of communication and organization, she also serves as chief technical advisor for the Water/Wastewater business unit, helping HR Green to achieve outstanding quality in project delivery.
Horner has been heavily involved in the WEA and SDWWA over the past years since and has exhibited exemplary personal service to a WEF and SDWEA. according to the recognition.
The award states “She has also worked with the SDWEA Wastewater Seminar planning committee to produce Wastewater Seminars that were well executed, organized, and cost effective. The educational value of the seminars she has spearheaded have been excellent according to the organization.”
The Bedell Award was established to acknowledge extraordinary personal service to a WEF Member Association. The award is named for Arthur Sidney Bedell, WEF’s second president for his long devotion and service to the New York Sewage and Industrial Wastes Association, now the New York Water Environment Association.
