HR Green has been chosen by the City of Nevada, Iowa to complete the planning, design, and bidding of four projects in its 2017 Capital Improvements Plan (CIP). The projects include street reconstruction, which also includes water main, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer reconstruction improvements; an asphalt resurfacing over cracked and seated PCC pavement project; a lift station study and design project; and the installation of storm collector lines at various locations in the City.
The Associated General Contractors of South Dakota Heavy-Highway-Utilities Chapter has elected officers, including HR Green’s Craig Lauritzen, who was elected AGC Associate Division President.

The Woodlands – Green Initiative Infrastructure Improvements – Phase I, was awarded the 2014 APWA Sustainability Practices Award by the Suburban Branch and the Chicago Metro Chapter.
Thousands of Houstonians, including HR Green volunteer racers, made their way to the Montrose area to raise money for survivors of domestic violence. The Houston Area Women’s Center held its “Race Against Violence” 5-K run and walk March 5. The “Race Against Violence” is one of the agency’s major annual fundraising events, enabling the Houston
Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton has appointed eight people, including HR Green’s Norman Miranda, to a new committee to advise the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). The new board is a citizen’s advisory panel, meeting regularly to help “guide the direction and enforcement” of Minnesota’s environmental protection laws.
HR Green is pleased to announce that David Pelser, PE, BCEE has been appointed to the League of California Cities Policy Committee on Transportation, Communication and Public Works. This committee consists primarily of elected mayors and councilmembers, public works directors, and finance directors from all over California.
HR Green was recently awarded a 2016 Engineering Excellence Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies, Missouri Chapter (ACEC/MO) for its Route 109 Widening and Roundabouts project.

The Downer Place Bridges over the Fox River project was awarded the 2014 Project of the Year Award by the Fox Valley Branch and the Chicago Metro Chapter. The project also received the ACEC Merit Award.
Stacy Woodson Elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Environmental Professionals
HR Green’s Stacy Woodson, P.E. has been elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP). She will be installed in her new position in April in time for the NAEP 2016 Annual Conference, April 11-14, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois.
