Kehrs Mill Road Entrance Monument
MoDOT and the St. Louis County Transportation Department collaborated on the reconstruction of the Long Road, Wild Horse Creek Road, Kehrs Mill Road intersection project in 2012. Resulting from the public involvement phase of this project, the residents along Wild Horse Creek and Kehrs Mill successfully lobbied for beautification of the intersection.
The Former Wonder Bread Factory is Transformed into a New Brewery
The former Wonder Bread factory located in downtown Waterloo, Iowa, shuttered its operations in November 2012 amidst bankruptcy proceedings. Built in 1927, the vacant building occupied an entire block within the community’s urban core adjacent to numerous public facilities including the library, hockey arena, children’s museum, and public market. City officials immediately worked with several key stakeholders, including the historic preservation committee and Main Street Waterloo, to identify a potential re-use for the 0.94-acre site; however, contamination concerns created anxieties for potential investors.

Brownfield Assessment Grant Assess Environmental Impacts of Underutilized Properties in Antioch
The Village of Antioch is a community of just over 14,000 residents located within the Chicago metropolitan area in northeastern Illinois. Along its main corridor of Illinois Route 83 (IL 83), many businesses either closed or moved resulting in the environmental and economic decline of the community’s urban core and central business district.
City of Jurupa Valley, CA
The City of Jurupa Valley, California, was allotted four weeks to complete a mandatory clean-up of at least 80% of its 1,039 stormwater inlets. This activity was mandated to meet guidelines established by the Clean Water Act’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program.

The City of Keokuk is located in southeast Iowa along the Mississippi River. Keokuk Municipal Water Works currently operates a water treatment plant with an average daily demand of 12 to 14 MGD. City of Palos Verdes Estates, CA
HR Green is providing comprehensive building and safety (building, plan check and inspection), engineering (traffic and civil) and public works (inspection, stormwater, plan review and capital project administration) services for the City of Palos Verdes, California.
HR Green was hired to determine if it would be feasible to construct a freestanding Trader Joe’s retail building and parking lot over one of the stormwater detention basins.

The Elgin O’Hare/West O’Hare Bypass (EO-WB)
The Elgin O’Hare/West O’Hare Bypass (EO-WB) is a $3.6 billion highway that will provide access to Chicago O’Hare airport from the west. The airport’s expansion plans currently include the development of a new western terminal, which would be served by the proposed highway.HR Green has assumed the role of Program Manager for the project’s Tier One and Tier Two Environmental Impact Study (EIS) on behalf of the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).

Marquette Scenic Overlook and Boardwalk

Rockford’s Bridge Safety Inspection Program Prioritizes Maintenance
HR Green has been performing Biennial Bridge safety inspections for the City of Rockford since 2003 for more than 100 structures ranging from culverts to Rock River Crossings.

As the City of Palos Verdes Estates evolves, the demand for more sophisticated technology and new regulations requiring different resources is increasing. HR Green, Inc. (HR Green) announced that their Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Michelle A. Byard, has been elected to the Board of Directors of their holding company, Green Companies, Inc. (GCI).
The Central States Water Environment Association (CSWEA) has recently awarded HR Green’s Jackie Strait, PE the Young Professional of the Year Award for the State of Minnesota for 2018.
HR Green received three Engineering Awards from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Iowa. Entries are judged on the basis of engineering excellence, the degree to which the client’s needs are met, and the benefits to the public.
The desire to improve the quality of life through access to affordable high-speed internet is being explored through a regional study of current internet providers and planned expansions in the Pikes Peak region.
