HR Green Selected to Remediate Erosion Issues at Tradition Park in Ankeny, IA
HR Green recently completed a Technical Memorandum for the City of Ankeny, IA evaluating issues at Tradition Park related to stormwater runoff management, erosion, and vegetation stability. Tradition Park is a public greenbelt running southward from SW Tradition Drive to IA Hwy 415/SW State Street along an unnamed tributary of Saylor Creek. The park includes two existing in-line stormwater detention basins and the unnamed tributary flows through both basins in series.
Based on the recommendations in the Technical Memorandum, The City has retained HR Green to remediate identified erosion and other stormwater-related challenges within Tradition Park. In addition, HR Green will select appropriate live stake joint planting between the rocks of existing rip rap to address ongoing erosion at one of two identified areas of concern within the stream corridor.
“We are excited to continue assisting the City in their proactive approach to hazard mitigation and water quality management within their community” said Project Manager, Kyle Riley.
HR Green’s services will include surveying and mapping, geotechnical investigation, preliminary and final design, bid letting assistance, and permitting assistance for the project.
