Chick-fil-A chooses HR Green for New Restaurant in Blaine, MN
HR Green’s Land Development business line has been chosen to provide entitlement and design services for a new Chick-fil-A restaurant in Blaine, MN. The project involves the redevelopment of a parking lot, and construction of a 4,700 square foot free standing quick service restaurant with drive thru facility at the Northtown Mall.
The Northtown Mall is located in Blaine, Minnesota, one of the fastest growing cities in the state. Located at the intersection of Highways 47 and 10, just 20 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, more than 5.5 million people visit the mall each year. Northtown Mall recently completed a multi-million dollar expansion project tripling the size of the food court, renovating mall entrances, monument signage and common areas.
Truett Cathy founded Chick-fil-A, Inc. in the early 1960s and pioneered the establishment of restaurants in shopping malls with the opening of the first Chick-fil-A Restaurant at a mall in suburban Atlanta in 1967. Since then, Chick-fil-A has steadily grown to become the largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States, based on domestic annual sales with over 1,800 locations in 40 states and Washington, D.C.
